Scott was personable/professional. I was thoroughly impressed with the crew’s efficiency & punctuality (always 15 min early). Everyone was polite/respectful to my family, me and our stuff. I loved that they were concerned for the neighbor’s camper that may have been hit by overspray. The only “complaint” I could have is that during our first meeting, I informed Scott that the interior wall of the screened porch didn’t really need to be painted but they did so anyway. Really it ended in my favor, so I’m not actually nitpicking; it is just an example of a “failure to communicate” so that this review of won’t seem like Scott wrote it himself :)

The setup coummunication with them was good, but the paint job wasn't any better than I could have done. Also, they were climbing in and out of the bedroom window and there are bare spots where their clothing contacted the walls, as well as, a few places that had unpainted spots left.

This woman, Donna R, used one of my employees after hrs to paint "2" walls in 1 bedroom. She left the house before paying him and he was forced to climb out the window to get out. Our previous references speak for the type of work we do.

First off, I have to say that I have not always had the best of luck with contractors in the past, especially painters. In addition, I am in the military and have extremely highly standards when it comes to a task. With that in mind, I would have to say that the DuVall Home Improvement staff is the best group of painters that I have ever encountered. Scott and his staff were friendly, clean, and performed both jobs in less than a day. The quality of work was amazing and exceeded my expectations. I plan on hiring them for another project in our home in the next few weeks and plan on using him for all future services. I would highly recommend utilizing their services to anyone.

Project: Install Interior Trim and Decorative Moldings
I needed some crown molding and baseboard installed in my masterbedroom. Additionally, I needed a 4x6 area of my ceiling fixed with popcorn texture which I had replaced a year previously by another contractor which I was not satisfied with. I received several quotes for the same work and DuVall Home Improvements was the most reasonable. Mr DuVall came to my home took some measurements and provided a written quote within 12 hours. They arrived on time and the work was done professionally. They cleaned up afterthemselves and did not expect to get paid until after the job was done to my satisfaction. The best overall experience ever.

Had a mixed experience. The painting and the cost for the services was great but the customer service left something to be desired. The painters didn't show up when we had scheduled them and when we finally got in contact with Mr. Duvall he had set the appointment for the wrong day. He came himself with one of his painters and got to work. The painting was well done but his subordinate left two rooms unfinished as they hadn't been edged. I got in contact with him and he arranged to have it finished in the morning. The painter didn't show up on time and we had to wait for 4 hours for him to arrive. The job was done but with a few hiccups.

Unfortunately, Mr O's wife gave me the wrong date to begin work. We were called a week "early" saying we were late. We tried our best to take ppl off of another job to help since they were scheduled to move out of town 2 days later. We finished but, apparently he decided not to take into consideration that we went out of our way to help.
