Had a clogged kitchen sink and yes sometimes pipes can get old - however the person who came out was having a really bad day (Sunday) he complained about not wanting to work, had a headache, it took him longer than he was hoping a clogged sink would take. There was cutting of pipes, part of my cabinet got broken, he had to come back the next day to finish up as it started to leak (and he forgot something he left). He would probably have had a better day if the attitude was a bit better - if he didn't want to work he shouldn't have. If he wants to work smile and do the job without yelling or knocking things about. May help things.

my shower drain was clogged, and the technician quickly unclogged it...lots of hair.....he then cleaned the mess..very professional..thanks Richard.

The plumber came in, took a quick look at the problem, quoted us $145, (on what basis i know not) snaked the bathroom sink in an aggressive manner, then said we needed to replace our drain & water under house, (based on the age of the house) quoted us $8.2K for that, then he came back with an invoice for $155 took the check and left. I WENT BACK TO THE SINK, RAN THE TAPS AND IN THE PROCESS OF 'SNAKING' HE HAD PUT A HOLE IN THE PIPE UNDER THE SINK, WHERE THERE WAS NONE BEFORE, (SNAKING) THE WATER STARTED LEAKING AND NOW I NEED TO REPLACE THAT PIECE PIPE, WHERE THERE WAS NO PROBLEM BEFORE. THANKS.
