Project: Hire a Handyman- For Business

Direct Builders was courtious and professional in conduct. They were hired to do 3 jobs: 1. Install new veritical supports for catwalk railing and make sure that the railing was strong and secure. They did a good job with this! 2. Repair stress cracks in the fifth floor concrete walkway and then paint the walkway with a paint that had an anti-slip additive. They did this job very well, however, the paint that they used did not contain an anti-slip additive and as a result the walkway isnow slippery when wet. 3. Install weather stripping on the four west side stairway doors. Very poor job on this!

Prompt service, contractor came to house and did a good job analyzing the work that needed to be done and was able to give me a good price. Workers showed up the next day and the job was finished on schedule. Contactor was also able to assist me with other issues with the home. I will likely use Service Magic again as well as the referred contractor.

All of the workers were very nice, however the overall job was below average. The drywall installers did a good job, however some instructions were not followed. The painter got paint on our dresser and on the window tinting. The workers who laid the Laminate Floor did a good job, but the baseboard was well below average. They attempted to stain and install two interior doors, which was terrible, when I complained the workers were very nice and agreed and removed the doors, but damaged the new floor and did not say anything. Direct Builders did refund my money for the doors. The clean up had a lot to be desired. Would not Hire.
