We switched to Design Effect after experiencing some difficulties with a sub par contractor. The premium paid was significant but definitely worth the money. The overall quality of the service and quality provided by Kerry Bauer were top notch. We saw over 10 contractors and used them as they are definitely not your usual painter. Some of the highlights: * counseling in selection of colors, paint brands and finishes * high attention to detail * will respect the original esthetics of the home * high work / service ethics Would recommend for anyone looking to get quality work done in their house.

Kerry is very knowledgeable and professional. I can't believe how perfect my 55 year old laundry room looks 'now'. He gave very good advice, he supports Green materials, and he did I great job! I will hire him again for my next painting job.

Kerry was very helpful with color selection and patient with our indecisiveness before the project even began. His quote was just a little higher but worth every penny. He is very picky about his work and fixed many items we did not even notice. He is open to suggestions and great about lending his opinion as well. This was the first paint project we ever hired out and he is actually coming back to do more work for us and we have already referred him to a friend. He deserves the entire 5 stars! Thanks Kerry!

Kerry goes above and beyond other painters I have hired in the past. He has the ability to do excellent color consulting and will work with you until the shade is right and you are totally happy. He is very detailed and takes his work product very seriously. An additional bonus for me was that he can also do various handyman type projects such as caulking, shower tile repair and gutter cleaning while completing the painting project. That extra feature was very valuable to me. He costs a little more than a basic painter, but is more than worth it. If you want top quality and impeccable results (even for handyman work), look no further.
