We couldn't be happier with the entire experience with Dave. He has been very easy to deal with, has worked tirelessly on our project, and is going to complete it in far less time than even he thought. I would recommend David Bauer Custom Homes to anyone in the market for a new house or renovation.

Mr. Bauer had no problem with the scall of the work and reassured me that everything that my wife and I invisioned was very possible and could be done. He watched our buget and had a good I for detail.

Let me say first that Dave decided to waive all of his contractors fee due to some rather large mistakes that me made. He charges $11,000 and charged us$ 7,000. He cost us an additional $30,000 + so I think it was probably $7,000 too much. This was the most horrible experience from pretty much beginning to end. Dave has NO control of his subs. They smoked in my house putting out ciggarettes on my windowsills. His son's company did all the demo and they tried do charge us for tools they had to purchase. I can't warn you enough. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. I would never ever do buisness with this guy or most of his subs ever again.

I am sorry Susan feels the way she does. The majority of cost overages were do to city engineering requirerments, such as sheer walls and 2X6/R-19 insulation in walls, and personal choices the owner made in upgrades. Most all, including the inspectors, agreed that this is now the nicest home in the neighborhood. We finished the project timely and passed all inspections (bank, county, etc.)

Dave was great to work with to get our addition done. He was always available and extremely cooperative with lots of great advice.

Very prompt and professional. Did a nice job and cleaned up too.

Dave Bauer did an excellent job on our addition. He quotes were accurate, the subcontractors he used were all top-rate, and the work got done in a timely and efficient manner. Dave made himself available to us whenever we had questions.

Excellent communications, results are very satisfactory, and timing was close to estimated timeline. As with most general contractor jobs some contractors were less than desirable and some exceeded expectations, many crafts, disciplines and people were involved over the 2+ month job. Overall we'd rate it an 8 out of 10, meaning a higher would be at a much higher cost.

Control over subcontractors lacking. General care exhibited by subs substandard. Jobsite left a mess routinely. David's idea of holding a sub accountable is countless e-mails.

I am sorry Steve feels this way. His father and wife are the ones I communicated with regularly. The HVAC and Electrical issues that we were called back on ended up being non-related to the work we did. We fixed the problem anyway. Both were handled within the same week of request. Yes, I do use e-mail and make countless phone calls every day to communicate with sub-contr. and clients for the best

Dave is the best! He is very thorough and brought with him excellent ideas for the addition. His crew(s) have been very professional and personable. They have done a great job so far. We are still in the middle of the addition/renovation. I would definitely recommend Dave Bauer Custom Homes to others!
