Hello. My Name is David Jones owner of DSC Home Inspections. Let me tell you about me and my company. I started in construction after getting out of the military. The construction business led me to Virginia 20 years ago. Here I worked for a general contractor for 12 years. After freezing in the winter and enduring the heat of summer, I decided I needed something better for my family and myself. I had the chance to talk to a home inspector and decided this would work for me; so I started my own company. After a slow start I went to work for a residential home buyer for 2 years and got on my feet. So here we are today. I am an ASHI Member (American Society of Home Inspectors), Virginia Certified Home Inspector and Diaster (PaRR-FEMA) Inspector and I enjoy pleasing my clients.

Dave arrived 10 minutes early for the inspection which was great (in the Navy we always say early is on time) and started with the outside inspection. He gave helpful tips throughout the inspection. I thought he did a great and thorough job. He even promised to come back if I needed the requested fixes reinspected. Great offer! I would've given him 5 stars; however this is why I gave 3: I asked for a reinspection and he didn't show. My realtor contacted him the next day. He forgot and was out of town. He never contacted me, the customer. That's poor customer service. Plus not all the fixes were done correctly so I couldn've used the help.

I am not sure I know which we hired, but I know his name and have his report. He was one of the most professional through people I have ever had the pleasure of doing any business with. We we actually taken aback by this inspector. We have never had such a great experience with any body in our entire lives. We are a mid 40's couple and have some experience. This inspector is tops and then some. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend him ever. I did and do expect good service but this was actually like a dream. This inspector went above and beyond. I almost dont understand it then, I think well this is the way business use to be done all the time,

David would have been ontime except for an accident that happened (not him in an accident), but he called immediately to let me know he would be a few minutes late. He did a great job on the home inspection, and we appreciated the tips he also gave us as we went along around and through the house. Very personable gentleman.

Dave arrived early and started on the outside of the home before I got there. He is very knowledgeable and provided many tips on maintenance for items in the home as he conducted the inpspection. I would have gone five stars if I had received an electronic report with photos in addition to the paper report at the end of the inspection. Other than that, his inspection was great.

Did an absolute great job! He told me what needed to be fix, as well as tips for maintenance and pointers on what I could buy to fix the jobs the seller didn't want to pay for. Very detailed, and always kept me informed throughout the whole process. Would not hesitate to use. again in the future!
