DPL and Associates

David and Angela were wonderful. They spent as much time as I needed going over possible designs. They were respectful of my budget and even made me aware of some simple "do-it-yourself" opportunities that would improve my existing landscape in order to stretch my dollar even further. From presenting an estimate to completed project, both David and Angela maintained a continued presence and were very responsive (i.e. We had some rain delays and Angela contacted me on a daily basis to keep me abreast of the revised schedule). You don't find this level of customer service-and customer satisfaction-very often. Would highly recommend.

The nails were not flush with the posts; the job was half done; the connecting pole on my fence which should have been re-cemented was still wobbly. Even though the owner secured the wobbly corner post with a screw, he should have seen the post was still wobbly when he completed and left the job which was done while i was out of town. Their quote was to reset 6 posts and reattach the posts to the fence, and they only did 3. You can see the separated posts from the nails on most of the posts; they should be flush with the fence. It looks very tacky! I would never recommend DPL & Associates.

As a gerenal rule I don't respone to these things, but this one was so caustic I feel I need to. The scope of work was to repair a 10+ yr. old stained fence, one of the posts was curved a little at the top which meant we were only able to bring the fence panel to plumb which left a 1/2" space, had we replaced the post (which was never discussed) she would have had to restain the whole fence to get it to match. 8 man hours and hundreds of lbs. of concrete were used to do this repair which was done under our minimum rate.As for the homeowner being "out of town", she told us to do it while she was out of town, this was a repair, not replace

David and Angela are truly a pleasure to work with. David has an extraordinary creative landscaping vision. He was able to take the concept and budget I had in mind and came up with ideas far better than I could have ever come up with on my own. I am amazed at how much my landscape has improved in such a short time. If you are looking for someone who can transform your yard into something something very personal and extraordinary while respecting your budget constraints do not look any further. PS - give him the freedom to be creative or you will be missing out on the value he brings that other landscapers/designers don't have.

All of the work done so far has been very satisfactory. Being able to meet with David or his associate after each level of work was completed to discuss the next step and it's cost has made this a very affordable and effective project. Highly recommended!

Showed up on time for all appointments. Offered advice and alternate suggestions; were flexible in reacting to change requests. Pleasant and easy to deal with. Did what they said they would do when the said they would do it.

They do good work however you have to TELL them to keep you posted on the status of the project and their rates are too high, not competitive. I would hire them for design but not for minor work or repair and maintenance such as drainage issues or rellocating a plant from here to there.

David Lord is exceptional. He was very atune to our landscaping vision and the end result met all of our expectations. This is truly a missed opportunity if you don't take advantage of his talent and expertise. His staff is superb and they totally "delivered.". I am not easily impressed, but these people deserve high praise, Thank you ServiceMagic. (P.S. I can't believe the number of neighbors who have stopped to comment on how much they like what has been done!) We're already planning "Stage Two" under David's direction.

DPL provided a great fence and exquisite doors and arbor at a competitive price. The time it took to complete was longer than expected, but they finished the job with top quality.

David was a good contractor.
