Deborah Sutton has been designing Residential and Commercial interiors for 22 years.  After graduating with honors and working in the field for a number of years, she established D.F Sutton & Assoc. Inc in 1991. D.F. Sutton & Assoc. Inc.’s primary focus has been Washington projects, though there have also been projects completed in Arizona and Oregon.  Deborah’s clients range from CEO's of major corporations to first time home owners. They had struggled to get their vision across to the individual they had been working with for a year and D.F. Sutton & Assoc. Inc. was asked to talk with the client. After a careful assessment by Deborah, a concept was established that prompted the client to state "I like this better than anything I've seen in a year!"  The project was back on track making the statement they wanted, and completed on schedule! I had the privilege of working with a masterful designer (Deborah Sutton Felisiano of D.F. Sutton & Associates), and at the end of my design projects, not only were the results stunning, I found the journey had been enormously stimulating. What I found so remarkable in the design process were several key things: * Communication and collaboration -- My designer's keen intuition and a refreshing openness to communicate are highly impressive.  I could call Deborah with questions or ideas, and our frequent phone conversations were "off the clock".  She listened, developed a deep understanding of my taste and preferences, and in turn introduced terrific options and design directions.  The entire process was creatively collaborative, and I learned much. * Ability to design in different styles -- Some designers have a signature look, a formula they repeatedly use across different settings.  By contrast, Deborah has amazing range.  From the first time I saw an example of her work to the later opportunity to view her portfolio, I was struck by her spectacular design solutions in very different styles, from French provincial to Asian, from residential to commercial.  Designs included individualized architectural details through furniture and accessories, and reflected her sensitivity to each client's unique perceptions of spatial relationships and color. *Sophisticated technical knowledge of interior architecture, far beyond simply "decorating an area". -- Deborah considers not only the current functions of spaces, but anticipates future usage.  She knows what it takes to produce a result, provides detailed drawings and specifications when needed, and designs with exceptional knowledge of structure, proportion, materials, finishes, and color.  There were no  "unwelcome surprises". *Value of the investment -- Because of careful planning and the designer's knowledge of materials and cost effectiveness, a superb renovation and an outstanding investment resulted.  There were no wasted purchases.  Hiring an exceptional designer -- a terrific decision!         Margot N.
