Although the job was completed, it was not done as professionally as I would have expected. Doug did not complete the job in the time he said he would and did not call to advise of the delay. The job does not have a finished look and will require finishing by us. I should have checked on his work with references before agreeing to the job, but I failed to do so. I have learned a costly lesson and will make sure I do so in the future. I had requested he install a flag pole stand in the cement, and left directions. He installed it upside down and it required modification to hold the pole. Not a good experience with this contractor.
