Promises were made and not kept severial times. was too busy or just a poor business man. office personal were very nice but could not keep promises on time.

Terrible experience with this company, stay away.

Mrs. A asks for an inspection of her home which we performed so that she could sue the contractor. Upon completing the inspection and report we ask for payment before we would send the report. She refused to pay and rudely insulted my staff, so we elected to remove our company from the lawsuit in a professional manner by sending a letter to her lawyer. We never sent the report and refuse to send it which i assume is the cause of this comment. We are a very professional company and as you can see by our ratings, we rank very high. Although we had a bad experience with the wife, we enjoyed working for Mr. A.

Friendly, knowledgible. Listened to our concerns and responded even though some of our questions were probably elementary. Recommendations were reasonable and detailed.

They did a great job, it was hard finding a decent engineer, but we did. We will be using them for many of our engineering needs here at J-Constructs.

My inspection was done quickly and thoroughly. I appreciate the professionalism of the staff.

I had three areas in an in-progress log home that needed his expert assesment. He was very thorough and knowledgeable and got to me a report in a reasonable amount of time. Ron was overly excessive in his opinion of the structural inspection on the foundation of the property he inspected. I further requested a secound inspection on the property and the secound inspection revealed that the foundation has no structural issue to begin with.The secound inspection revealed that he previous owners of the property backed into the wall of the garage and that is what caused the seperation in the block and the brick not a settelling in the foundation. Furthermore if I had followed Ron's opinion of the repairs that he had recommended on the property his instructions would have compromised the structural integrity of the home.

Amanda was a very difficult person to work with. She was the mortgage broker and needed to make a loan. By no means was I "overly excessive" in my opinion. The foundation corner was sinking and she wanted me to make it sound as if it was only a "normal settlement" issue when it was very clear it was not! As for the second opinion, it came from her husband (aka Contractor that repaired the corner)

Mr. Corum is very busy! It took a couple of tries to schedule an appointment with him, and three weeks to get our report. He seemed very knowledgeable about home construction techniques & foundation problems in this area and has a practical approach. A newbie PE looked at our foundation problems a year ago, and he recommended new footings around the entire house (would cost about as much as the house). Mr. Corum (25 yrs experience) recommended more targeted foundation improvements, as well as regarding (ground slopes toward house) and tree removal (50 yr-old oak 5 ft from cracked foundation). Listen closely during the inspection. Some useful information/observations/recommendations didn't make it onto the report - perhaps because he's so busy and/or the time lag between inspection and report. Despite this, I would recommend him to a friend. Criterium-Corum also provides a list of preferred contractors, which is very handy!
