I would always talk to the pros before I chose them to be my home inspector. Ask them to take you through the process of your inspection and tell them some of your concerns and see how they reply. Experienced home inspectors will be thorough and quick with their answers. Never let the cost of the home inspection be your deciding factor. They are all competing with each other so the prices are not going to vary greatly. And we have all heard the phrase "you get what you pay for." And it is definitely worth the extra 20 bucks for a "good" inspector to find a thousand dollar problem that could hurt your pocket later.

Robert was awesome! This was my second home inspection in a three month period and Robert from Cornerstone was thorough! He explained everything to me and was extremely knowledgeable about everything in the home. I would highly recommend Cornerstone Inspections. I had heard it was a good idea to go to the home inspection and I am really glad I did. Bob took time to really explain the house and its long term maintenance. He obviously enjoys his work--the home inspection was very interesting and thorough.

Bob was extremely flexible during the inspection in meeting our needs. We had lots of family in at the time and he didn't seem to mind. He worked with us in letting us know exactly what needed to be done and even offering suggestions on things that may present problems in the future. By the next day we had received a very detailed report, which we have been using to make our repairs and which have given us the guidance we need. Bob was also very pleasant, personalble and understanding with each of our family members and even the repairman that were present. I think that each of us would feel comfortable hiring him in the future.
