Project: Repair or Reprogram a Thermostat
Chris was able to come the next day, which was good because my furnance wasn't working, and showed up towards the early side of the time frame he gave me.. The busted part was not something he had in his truck, so he ran to the suppler to get one and finish that day instead of rescheduling. That obviously tacked some time on, but overall, everything went very fast.

Project: Central A/C - Service or Repair
I call Comfort Specialists (Chris) thinking that he would be an honest specialist. He came out and checked my compressor. He quoted me$277 to replace the capacitor. The capacitor was not a problem and he took another look at the unit and found that the wires leading to the compressor were bad. He replaced the wires on his own not telling me the charge and charged me $277 + $502=$833. This guy is giving all the AC service people a bad name. Stay away!

The work performed was quoted to the customer before any work was started. The customer requested that we fix the unit as soon as possible, we worked late into the night to make that happen. We pride outselves on high quality honest work, and this job was no differnt. As a matter of fact we were able to save the customer more then $400 on having to not replace the compressor.

Project: Oil Boiler or Radiator Heating System - Repair
This vendor came out, we had a broken furnace and had been without heat for 3 days. They repaired a hose but ignored and did not attend to a huge oil leak. After the technician had left it added a obnoxious odor and fumes into my home. I checked in the furnance room and also found a huge puddle.

This piece of equipment was very old (15-20 years in age) and we discussed that the repair was merely a band-aid just to give you heat. The bigger issue was the unit needed to be replaced as it could not be repaired.
