Your safety is our business
We specialize in chimney cleaning, masonry repair, pre-fabricated chimney installation and relining of chimneys. We also provide weather-proofing for masonry chimneys, chimney cap installation, wood/coal stove installation and a variety of other related services. Consulting services are also available. Lesley Zajac has been the principal owner since 1978 and has been involved in the industry as treasurer and board member of the "NATIONAL CHIMNEY SWEEP GUILD" from 1983-1987 and Vice President of the Massachusetts Chimney Sweep Guild in 1983. Walter Zajac, Lesley's husband, has been with the company since 1989 and is involved with the cleaning and sales portions of the business as well as the consulting and relining areas of the business. He has a background in carpentry and construction. All personnel in the company go through extensive training in order to maintain the highest level of service possible.

  • we are experts in restoration of historical chimneys. Working on homes owned by The Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities. We have given lectures for the Bedford Historical Society; the Malden Victorian Society; and have done work for the PBS show "This Old House".

I chose to work in this industry because it was so new and I wanted to get in the ground floor.I love working in Concord because of its beauty and great historical heritage.We started in this industry in 1978.We describe our business as Family owned and operated

Chimney Doctor's great. George really knows his stuff. It's just him so you may not get immediate service, but that's ok. he know's what he's doing.

i recieved a phone call from the owners lovely wife who explained a lot and gave me some quotes. i explained everything i needed done, but when the owner came my husband could not stay and he did not complete the job. he then tried to charge me over double the estimate the wife had given me to come back and had an attitude with rescheduling. when we finally agreed on a price, he cancelled twice due to rain (even though the job was strictly inside) and had an atitude when he eventually did show up. i was not happy with the experience or the job done at all and wish i had gone with another company.

I was very pleased that they were able to do the job the same day I contacted them. They arrived on time and completed the cleaning quickly with no mess. From his many years of experience he provide lots of incite and advice about other work I should have done. I highly recommend them.

Walter came out and inspected a couple chimneys. I was happy to learn that none of them needed cleaning! Walter could have recommended remediation of some sort and I probably wouldn't have second guessed him, so I appreciated his honesty.

He called to see whether he could come early, which was great for me. We are in a new house, so he checked all of the fireplaces and flues, but he also took the time to go over with me how each of the dampers worked, what we should do to start and maintain the fire, etc. He was great and we will definitely call again when we need anything for our fireplaces and/or chimneys.

Came in to fix a bad installation by a non-service magic chimney company. Very quickly identified the problem and quickly fixed it. Very forthcoming with advice and information about what was done and what needed to be done.

Showed up when they said they would. Had a chimney cap made, but was the wrong size and had to wait an additional 2 weeks for a new one. The new cap looks fine. Also had the chimney sealed. Have not had any significant rain to test the fixes yet.
