Rating: Project: Chimney or Fireplace - Clean and Inspect I would rate the experience a C-.  The contractor was late to arrive but did call 15 minutes before he was supposed to be here to say he would be late.  I had my chimney cleaned and… Read Complete Rating I would rate the experience a C-.  The contractor was late to arrive but did call 15 minutes before he was supposed to be here to say he would be late.  I had my chimney cleaned and inspected.  The guy was in and out in 30 minutes.  Upon inspection, the fireplace was still filthy.  I called and complained and they sent another guy out 3 days later to complete the job properly.  The first guy also stated I needed all kind of other work to the chimney repairs, patching, etc. which would cost well over $750.00.  I called a mason to inspect the chimney and he stated all I needed was some tuckpointing which would run me $100.00.  See All Ratings
