Project: Addition to Existing Structure - Build
A couple of areas that went very well was the schedule and budget. Chetaud did a very good job of maintaining the schedule and keeping to the original budget. Early on in the project, there were a couple of communication breakdowns but we were able to resolve them and communication was good from that point on. Overall I thought the quality was good. Any issues we raised were resolved to our satisfaction but also thought we also had to raise a number of issues. We probably would not work with this contractor again. Doing an addition is a very difficult process and in the areas noted, they were not a good match with us.

Well done within a reasonable budget. Addressed issues in a timely manner. Very satisfied w/ initial scoping, subcontractors & billing. Honest, dependable, & fair individual. Inexperienced homeowners may want to get addn'l help from pros on design matters. he does not get involved in selection of sinks, tiles, cabinets, etc. Also, we had disagreements over whose responsibility it was to correct glitches. In the end, he took care of them. If you order from HD or similar stores, make sure he signs off on the order. Put that on the contract. Otherwise you find yourself in the middle.

We would recommend Chetaud Forrest Builders to anyone. They were generally on time with projects and had excellent workmanship. Ryan added little touches to the porch that really added to the design. They both had great ideas for building rooms. They were fair and easy to work with. They stayed within budget and gave us a quality house. After the horror stories we had heard from others who had done remodels, we were pleasantly surprised with how smooth this one went. There were some problems but they were taken care of by Lou in a timely, courteous manner.

The owner, Lou Chetaud did an excellent job in scheduling his sub contractors. We had a reasonable amount of additional work that had to be done in our remodel. These work could not have been foreseen due to the nature of our work. Lou Chetaud charged us only time and labor for the extra work. Owner Lou Chetaud and his son Ryan were instrumental in giving us advise and suggestions on finish details. They did an extraordinary job in finishes. Owner, Lou Chetaud is an honest, reasonable and dependable gentleman contractor. We had few minor issues after our remodel and he was very responsive in addressing the issues.

The contractor has now completed the remodeling of my kitchen. The job ran a little longer then anticipated, however the work was very satisfactory. I would and have recommend Chetaud Forrest Inc. to someone looking for a reliable General Contractor.
