Project: Build or Replace a Deck or Non-Masonry Porch
I would never recommend Mike Featherston for a job again. He and I had a contract and he was to have returned for a third time to stain my deck with a power stainer and replace a step that had a crack in it after he built it. My BIG mistake was trusting this friendly charming fellow and thinking, even tho I gave him the final payment, he would keep his word and return for the third staining and replacement of the cracked step. Me WRONG! Never again will I trust anyone that I contract with.

Mike Featherston (Carpentry Specialties) Listened to my needs, understood what I wanted, made a few suggestions and gave me a really fair price. He completed the job in 2 days and the finished product was beyond my expectations. I recommend this firm to give you a really great job. All my friends were greatly impressed.

Mike and his crew did a great job on the concrete and pergola - it turned out just as we had hoped/envisioned. They were always polite and courteous and the project was finished within the timeframe they had given us. We will be calling them again in the future for more projects!

Project: Install or Replace Exterior Doors
Returns phone calls, answers phone calls. Timely, polite, good with dogs. Great sense of humor. His dad Lee is also a joy to be around. I hear bathrooms and kitchens are more their forte than the doors I had them install. They did a good job, not perfect and that could be due to the door and house. Somethings I guess are just beyound control. I would hire them again. Great paint and staining jobs.

Although the door that was purchased by the customer was a second-hand door, we made the necessary adjustments to accommodate the fitting and the finish work. We were only there for a short while and she was a pleasure to work with.

Project: Build a Shed, Barn, or Playhouse
Mike was very professional and easy to work with. Mike is a very pleasant person with great salesmanship. The job was completed in 1 1/2 days and there were no unforseen problems that I saw. We are very happy with the construction and service. He left the property clean and in order. We would definitely use him again.
