Capital Chimney Incorporated promises to deliver honest quality service to all our customers. The primary job of a chimney service professional is to aid in the prevention of fires related to fireplaces, woodstoves, gas, oil and coal heating systems and the chimneys that serve them. Chimney sweeps install, clean and maintain these systems, evaluate their performance, prescribe changes to improve their performance, and educate the consumer about their safe and efficient operation. It means eliminating the build-up of soot in coal and oil-fired systems. It means getting rid of bird and animal nests, leaves and other debris that may create a hazard by blocking the flow of emissions from a home heating appliance. In doing their primary job, sweeps also function as on-the-job fire prevention specialists. They are constantly on the lookout for unsafe conditions that can cause home fires or threaten residents with dangerous or unhealthy indoor air quality.

Dottie in the office is absolutely service oriented and is wonderful with the customer......Phil who did the estimate and was present and working the entire day is a delight! Very professional -- Dottie was very pleasant -- I really appreciated the customer service. The technician, Phil, was very nice and took the time to explain my problem with the chimney so that I could understand and communicate intelligently with homeowners insurance. He took great pictures which helped to make it a smooth process. They did great quality work. I am a very satisfied customer.

They responded quickly and completed the work as promised. The workers and offices staff were friendly and professional. There was a small problem as a consequence of the work but they honored it with an appropriate small price reduction. I was satisfied.

Project: Brick or Stone Tuck-Pointing
I hired capital to do brick pointing on my entire house, do a stucco backing on my garage, and also to put in a brick walkway and steps. At the very beginning everything ran smoothly, got returned phone calls, prompt quote was delivered and they were very helpful. Work commenced on time for the most part and was estimated about a week to complete. The pointing and stucco were done pretty quickly. The walkway took the entire week, however the step was installed incorrectly. The top of the step was bubbling and had a visible hump to it. Their own employee agreed to the mistake. Even though they gave me their word they would be right back to fix it, I agreed and paid them the balance due. Big mistake. Months later and after 10 or more phone calls and finally the threat of litigation they finally hired somebody to fix the step. The walkway looks good but all of the aggravation to get it done right was not worth it. Capital was not the cheapest or most expensive but I expected better service after meeting with the owner. They are a typical contractor, thus the avg rating.

Horrible!! They were only here for 10 minutes and took advantage of us. We had to have another local company come out and they cleaned it after capital chimney finding tons of debris and spider webs (wouldn't be there if the chimney was actually cleaned! Save yourself time and hassle and hire anyone else!!

Efficient and hard working. Never took a break and answered my questions. I never got another bid so I'm not sure about the value all I know is I could never have done it myself.

Project: Repair or Partially Replace Brick or Stone Siding
The price was right! However, they had to come back and fix the work done the first time incompletely. The 2nd correcting visit wasn't as prompt, but was done well. They fixed the problems after several phone calls and with Service Magic's help. Don't pay them until you are totally sure that they did the job correctly...
