CalCo Painting

CalCo came in with inexperienced people and took longer than expected (they had to re-do a room due to many drips that had dried on the wall before they noticed the problem). They also were very careless in protecting outlets, window sils and floors with drop cloths and tape and I have been continuously finding spots of paint that I have to clean/scrape off outlets, floors, etc. My biggest frustration is that I had to do the quality control and tell Ross (the lead) where things weren't done well. Finally I just got frustrated and decided to take care of remaining issues myself. I would NOT recommend them as they are not focused on quality

The homeowner's complaints were about how things appeared during the job - not the finished product. This was a complex job - multiple colors and color changes in several occupied rooms. The finished product looks great. We had to redo some work - we were aware of the issues - but had to wait for the homeowner to return from out of town to correct them (as we subsequently did).

Ross was very professional and the entire project was completed on time and on budget! The estimate was extremely reasonable and the work was done quickly and the crew was polite. They cleaned up everything and even did some extra things that were such nice touches like organizng my living room (they put all the furniture back and even put a ahelf somewhere that looked better then my original spot!) and after painting my bedroom I came home to find the entire room put back together perfectly. I had a few items that needed touch up and Ross sent the guys back ASAP and the work was done to my expectation. I would hire them again!

Prompt both for the estimate and for the job itself. Estimate was right on. Picked up additional matching paint before the job began. Ross oversaw the initial set-up and work of the painters assigned to my house which was great. Painting did have a couple of streaks in the sheen and missed spotson the vaulted ceiling, but I'm probably the only person who notices.

The actual work has not been done yet, but my dealings with CalCo have been great so far. They have been very accomodating and professional.

Ross bid what I wanted done rather than all that should be done. Then his crews punctually and professionally did the contracted work on schedule.

They have done a lot of work for me over the years. The thing I like best about them is, they get in and get the job done. The quality is pretty good. They are reasonably priced. I will continue to use them.
