John S. Apolis, P.E., President of Consulting Structural Engineering Services, Inc., offers over 20 years of experience in Structural Engineering Design for permit submittals for almost every type of construction project. He has designed all types of structures, from small residential garages to multistory buildings to major roadway bridges. We are a small firm, now specializing in Residential projects (both new and remodel) and in small to medium Commercial projects. We pay special attention to the economy of such projects, especially with regard to providing a design that is sensitive to construction costs. Larger engineering firms will often assign smaller projects to a junior engineer, which may result in uneconomical design. Mr. Apolis either designs or closely monitors all of our projects. Our design costs are often lower because as a smaller firm, we have lower overhead costs. In addition, our turn-around times often are faster, because of the way we organize our work schedule. We typically have provided full structural design for additions and remodel projects for 40 or more satisfied homeowners each year, as well as a similar number of smaller "one day" or even "two hour" projects. We try whenever possible to give you what you need, when you need it. No project is too large or too small.
