Kent Butler did a great job finishing my deck. He has a great eye for detail and takes pride in his work. I will call on him again for deck repair and finishing or other projects as needed.

We hired Butler Design and Build to assemble a wooden swing set in our backyard. Supposedly, they are experienced with building playground equipment for parks. We were originally paying by the hour, but we renegotiated to pay a flat fee for the job after they came back a second day and weren't too far along. The project took 3 days (4 if you count the initial day of figuring out placement and going over instructions). We ended up paying more for the assembly than we did for the swing set. Had we known ahead of time, we would have paid more for a nicer set that included installation.

Assembly was10 hrs, per instructions, & 8.25 XTRA hrs were free! 1st day: began layout/assembly, 2nd day the owner would continue only if we excavated, poured concrete & altered the set to grade, for the set cost alone. I agreed, spent 2 hrs finding “the” spot, excavated, bought & poured concrete- for free. 3rd day: we altered the set & finished assembly. All included it took 18.25 hrs in 3 days.

Extremely knowledgeable. He won't over charge you. Best decision I made for my house!

The project entailed de-constructed a pergola structure over a patio. Mr. Butler performed a outstanding job, very neat and efficient. The job was completed by the time I returned home from work at 4:30pm and the debris was hauled away. I plan to use this contractor again for winterizing my sprinkler system.
