everything from the quote to the actual job was done professionally. The job took a while longer than they thought due to malfunctioning equipment, otherwise.. i'd recommend.

Initiall, they came when it was about to storm. They insisted they would work in the rain, but the storm eventually made them stop. About 10 days later when the rains stopped, they came back and finished the job not previously accomplished. At all times the workers were nice to deal with, polite, cleaned everything up. They were happy to explain what and how things worked and what they were doing. Also enjoyed dealing with Guy, the person who initially came out to explain his service. God experience. They installed cellulose and we noticed the difference the next day. Also they gave a competitive and fair price (as we had checked elswhere).

Rain does not affect insulation work on attics and most new construction, but it occasionally can stop work on a retrofit wall insulation job. If rain starts just as a job is starting, it usually makes sense to try to focus on protected areas such as garage common walls and some covered areas till rain stops and then rest of home can be done. But if rain doesn't appear it will stop, then yes, work must stop, and be rescheduled till there's a clear day.

The installers ran a little late, but they called to let me know ahead of time. They were polite and professional. When they left the house, there was no sign that any work had been done. We noticed a difference in the temperature in our home instantly.

The project is listed as: "Install or Upgrade Batt, Rolled or Reflective Insulation" Note that reflective insulation aka radiant barrier is a beautiful concept with some useful residential applications, such as a lamination on insulation, especially hvac ducts, and perhaps on roofing plywood, there is, despite TV and radio ads that imply otherwise, no written claim it is superior or even equal to R-30 or R-38 attic insulation. And it has no use in walls or floors. We stock it and will install at competive rate, but few order it when shown its costs and known benefits. So, job ended up as regular attic insulation as usual.

Huge difference in attic/2nd floor temp. Should have done it sooner!
