Project: Waterproof a Basement or Foundation
I got several bids to waterproof my crawl space. Bob, the owner, did a thorough ispection of the space and the foundation, gave me a competitive bid and also was the only one who did not recommend extra work in the basement the other companies were trying to push on me. The crew was very professional, completed the job in 2 days, as they promised, and the space has been totally dry since. They cleaned up well. I had a question about a minor imperfection and Bob offered to come and fix it in a few days.

Bob did a wonderful job explaining the entire process and ensuring that we were getting exactly what we needed. The crew was always on time and explained everything as it was happening. Our three day job was completed in two day and then left everything looking as if no construction had gone on at my home.

The gentlemen who undertook this entire process were highly professional. They understood precisely my exact needs and offered me precisely what I requested without any sales pitch to suggest additional work. They all were courteous, friendly, respectful and punctual. The work was done expediently while cleaning up after they finished. I will continue to consider their services for additional work down the road. I am deeply appreciative of their knowledge as I posed questions that required significant knowledge and experience. They were correct in each decision and answer.

American A1 installed french drains in my basement. Excellent company with very knowledgeable employees. Bob, their salesperson, was very accessible over email and phone and when one of the competitors indicated they could install the drains without ripping my drywall, he was able to explain how they would do it and why it would be a bad idea to do so (none of the other companies I asked had even heard of the other approach). That gave me confidence in the company and that was justified by Roland and his crew who showed up to work -- nice guys, who completed the work in a timely and professional manner. Highly recommended.

American Waterproofing did an excellent job installing French drains at our home. They worked hard to accommodate our schedule when we needed to move the job up a few weeks, their work crew was knowledgeable and courteous, they completed the job on time and left our basement clean.

Two words best describe this company: Ability; Integrity. They take the time to listen to you, then they outline a solution to your problem, and provide a detailed description of the work they will do. They guarantee their work, and they do the work they promise to do in their estimate. There's a bit of mess during the job, but they leave the site virtually spotless when they're done. After the job is complete, they follow up to see if you're happy. I have no qualms about referring American A1 to friends or family and I would not hesitate to use them again. From the owner to the project estimator to the crew they are a class act.

I am very happy and pleased that we hired A1 Waterprofing to instal a french drain system in our basement. They were very professional and not pushy. They were very patient and answered any questions I had. They even provided advice after the job was completed to help me paint lock my basement floor. This is a great company to hire for water proofing a basemant. In my eyes they are 5 star company just deducted a few % points because they had to come back after the job was done to fix a small leak. However, even with that they were very responsive, came immediately corrected the problem and my wife and I are very satisfied customers.
