William Allen, the owner/craftsman, has a superb work ethic and is extremely skilled. He spent a total of 11 working days on the complete reconstruction of our staircase. We started with a 20-year old carpeted stairway with a simple post-to-post railing, double-level landing and a 19.5 ft carpeted and railed catwalk that crosses the great room. Under the carpeting was rough unfinished wood on the stairs with a particle board base on the catwalk. When he finished it was all oak: treads, risers, flooring and over-the-top bannisters with black-enameled cast-iron ballisters. The other bidding vendor wouldn't do flooring and charged more.

William Allen is a very talented, skilled, dependable and upfront person. He really cares about the quality of his work and works very hard. I knew everyday what the schedule would be and he kept to it. My husband and I are very please with our new staircase and hallway floor.

My expectations for this project were far surpassed in every area, quality, service and cost. After receiving a quote from another local pro of $3,600 to replace my staircase, I decided to check around to see if that was on the up and up. It wasn't even close. SE Stair Company provided the absolute best quality and service for half the cost!
