On 11/2/07 I discovered my alarm sounding on my pump station for my septic system. I contacted service magic for a referral and was sent Aguilers Home Repairs. They told me that my pump was burned up and both holding tanks had to be pumped. I showed them where the final septic tank and field bed was as well as the 2 tanks at the house. On 11/3/07 they pumped the 2 lower tanks and replaced the pump. On 11/30/07 I had raw liquid sewage pooling and running on top of the ground, but no alarm sounding. I immediately called Aguilera who came and told me the pump has burned up and when questioned about the alarm not going off, was told it probably had burned up also. After doing some work at the lift station, I was told the pump was working, but they couldn’t come back until Monday (This was Friday), not to use the toilets, showers, etc. On Monday, they told me the after cutting lines to the final septic tank that the lines were not glued properly, had roots in them and was collapsed somewhere between the lift station and the final septic tank. I called in another plumber for a second opinion before spending another estimated $3200 for digging and pipe replacement. These pipes are PVC 7 years old. The pipes had been properly installed, had no roots and were not collapsed needing to dig up yard and asphalt. The final report was that Aguilera had replaced my original pump with one that would only pump a maximum of 20-22’, instead of the larger pump needed with the proper head pressure. I called Aguilera to find out where they bought the pump, model and invoice number.
