I may have some existing problem with the Carrier hear pump unit itself since it went to auxiliary oil heat in the mornings when the outside temp was only in the low 50s. AJR came out promptly and found a wiring problem but I will not know if it is totally fixed until the fall when the temperature lowers again. I'm doing fine with the ac which seems to be saving me money from previous year's costs.

Furnace was installed with no problem. Installers explained how variable unit works and even tried to help me with BGE customer service to get the energy saving thermostat but to no avail. Regret not getting a programmable thermostat tho (AJR's was very expensive). WIll still try to get one installed just for the convenience.
