Project: Repair a Tile Roof

The suburb where the work was contracted is VERY picky and "fine" hungry if you don't have a permit. Maybe it was a miscommunication from the main office and the worker, but when we got to the house with the permit the worker had already started after we specifically told them not to start until we were able to display the permit. The workers response was that you don't need a permit to do a roof repair. That may be true in Chicago, but not in Dolton. The work that was completed fixed our problem but we didn't like being put at risk for a fine.

I called them out in December 2009 and they couldn't do the inspection because it was constantly snowing. I understood that. However, since the spring I have tried to get them out three times and each time they were a no call no show. After I called, they said it wa their fault and they would get someone out a hour later and then called me back 10 minutes later only to say they refused to send someone because they had no equipment to get on the roof. They are extremely unprofessional.

There was a little dificulty getting the initial contact meeting and appointment to complete the work. scheduled, however when we finally met; they were easy to work with you to determine the issue and probable cause.

Sales person Bill came out in a timely manner. Once he understood the request, he was able to provide a quote and proposal that day. The work was completed the next week, and invoiced at the amount in the proposal. Overall, I was happy the work was completed in a timely manner, and no surprises.

The roof repair was re-scheduled twice. The first re-schedule is due to the rain, but I was not informed of the second re-scheduled until I called the office. For a roof repair, I expect it to be done quickly unless the repair cannot be done because of the weathre.
