Project: Repair or Service a Central Air Conditioning System
Finallly showed up on 3rd scheduled service date. When tech.did arrive he was able to fix the problem. Took 3 weeks and 5 calls to finally get invoice faxed. I called late one night and the owner answered. He was upset that I had them problem getting an invoice thien I did receive it the next day.

Project: Repair a Pre-Fabricated Fireplace Unit (Gas)
Technician was very punctual and courteous. Had an old fireplace fixed. Initially he said it was the thermocouple and the cost would be about $60. Then after that didn't fix it, stated I needed a new regulator and could replace it with the thermocouple for about $400. After regulator was replaced said the on/off switch was bad and fixed that no charge. It works fine now, but I had to question was it really only just the switch that was bad? The fireplace now works fine in some ways is the bottom line and since it was an old fireplace don't feel to bad replacint those parts.

The guy that came out was very friendly and competent. The repair got done quickly and everything works great. The problem was what the guy charged me and what I was told over the phone were two different things. On the phone I was told that there was a $65 charge to come out and diagnose the repair. But that fee would be taken out of the labor costs if I actually did the repair. Not the case. They tried to charge me both. The repair guy did take some money off the labor charge but not the full $65... Should have checked before I had the guy fix my firplace but I thought that practice was standard with most service businesses...

.I found working with A-1 services to be a wonderful experience they were very attentive to my needs, got the work done efficiently , have been responsive after the work to any problems that had arisen, very attentive and good people to work with.
