I have USA Lock replaced my front door lock and charrged me $488.00. I can't believe the charge is that high.

Technician showed up on time. Our house is on the beach and the locks were full of salt. He was able to repair the locks and rekey all of our doors in a timely fashion, priced exactly as quoted. Great job! Highly recommend.

Take whatever price you are quoted over the phone and then double it to determine the final cost of the job.

The customer told me he had 5 locks over the phone. In fact, upon my site survey, which was a no cost FREE estimate, he had 10 locks instead of 5. The cost did not double, I merely charged him an additional $80 for 5 locks, which I consider very reasonable. Plus, I did the job for him on a Saturday with no additional weekend charge.

I was told it would be $49 for the guy to show up and additional costs would be for whatever was done next. The person answering the phone was very short, on the lines of being rude. When the locksmith showed, he didn't have a set prices. He explained that I should purchase a Master Lock Night Watch which seemed to be way overpriced. I spent $295 to have deadbolt and door knob replaced. He provided 4 keys which was nice, but I still feel as if I was "taken"... The repair guy, however, was very nice. I think he bought along his wife but said that was a locksmith in training....

The locksmith was very quick to call you immediately after requesting a quote. They worked fast and was in out within 20 minutes. The only problem I had was I was quoted $35.00 over the phone for initial visit and when they arrived it was $49.00 for initial visit and $79.00 for a door knob lock change. I feel the prices changes which made me skeptical. In all the job was done to my standards.

The locksmith left grease all over my doors which destroyed a $50 gel manicure and ruined a $30.00 new pair of jeans. Not to mention that I am unable to get the grease off my doors. Both he and his assistane were using my bathroom, paper towels and tissues. When I called the company to complain I was told that they are not responsible. The tech also tried to charge me $600, then he went down to $400, then $250 to change 4 cylinders, and make 2 keys. I inquired from the beginning about the price & was told, $49 consultation fee and $39 for each cylinder. Where does the $600 come from that he originally tried to charge me. Outrageous!

We do not work with grease. We do not use grease, supply grease or did we see any grease at the customers house. We discussed replacing all the locks but ended up just re-using the existing locks. This is where the price differed from $600 to $250. In the end, we showed up on time, did good work and charged a fair rate. I believe this is just a case of we can't make every person happy every time, although we do try to.
