A ceiling contractor is an individual who specialized in ceiling repair and construction. Ceiling contractors will install drywall, ceiling, and acoustic systems with consideration for fireproofing, flooring, insulation, finish and interior design. They are also often the same as drywall subcontractors, but are usually subcontractors working after a carpenter or construction crew has finished the carpentry job. Ceiling contractors can also work on home redesign or home renovation, installing acoustic tile, inserting decorative and ornamental plastering, updating fireproofing to current codes and standards, or increasing insulation.
