Hot tubs are large tubs made from acrylic, wood or ceramic that are filled with hot water. A hot tub is similar to a spa or Jacuzzi and can include a device or set of jets that create whirlpools in the water. Hot tubs and spas tend to be in bathrooms in place of a bath tub, on a porch or patio, or next to a swimming pool. There are many hot tub models, but some of the more expensive models are made from redwood, cedar and teak like the Japanese ofuro or hinoki.
