We got an estimate today from the contractor with which we've been working, and it seems way out of line. He had estimated that the work would take about 5 days, plus some time between for setting and grouting. I've divided his estimate out as if we were paying him for full 8 hr. days for 10 days of work, and it comes out to an outrageously high cost per hour to me. What is a reasonable rate?
