| Comment: We have three showers with natural slate tiles. We had an air quality guy out who told us to have them professionally sealed and cleaned as they are harboring bacteria. I recently sealed one, but have since read that I used the wrong type sealer for natural slate. The slate is now sloughing off. It appears we need a sealer specially made for slate in showers that I just read about. Also, the grout in one shower is chipping and forming mold. The one bathroom may also need the slate floor sealed since water from that shower seems to be keeping moisture in that floor. |
