| Comment: Lost two pieces of siding on gabel above brick over 2-car garage. One can be put back on but the other is bent with a hole or two in it. Problem stems from J channel on the gabel which was too high and did not secure the lower siding edge. I pulled the nails out of it took it down; it would need to be reinstalled properly. Lowes, Home Depot and Narandex could not match the color. Lansing (Nitro) did with a Mastic Liberty Elite Cameo of similar style (or so it seemed). It's a 5 inch double dutch; they only carry 4.5 inch in stock. One piece has a 90 dollar freight charge or esle I buy a $210 bundle with freight charge. Do you have a small piece of this siding left over from another job and could come out and do the job? 4 feet would actually be enough. Other option is to pull a piece off the back of the house to get an exact match and replace that with something similar. |
