Comment: I have need of a new roof. I want to use 30 year architectural shingles and installed for hurricane area (120 mph wind load area). I want the shingles to be glued down with roof mastic and nailed for heavy wind load. I also have an area of the roof, that is about 20'x8' that it appears the existing plywood is rotten and will need to be replaced w/ 5/8" T&G plywood (not particle board of advantac). I am thinking about just overlaying the rest of the house. I have about 30 squares and the roof is hips/valleys and a tower.
