| Comment: I have a bathroom with all its original tiling and bathroom fixtures, circa 1950. The floors and walls are ceramic tile in pink and blue (the wall tile extends from floor level to about halfway up the wall around the entire room). Because of the way the tile was mounted in the '50s, replacing seems implausible. The original (blue) sink has its back mounted into the wall tile as well, so it may have to stay and be resurfaced as well. The tub is in good condition, but is blue. I'd just like to get some idea on resurfacing costs for the walls, sink, tub, and floor (if plausible - it may make more sense to replace, not sure) so that I can budget. I want everything to go from pink and blue to white. Everything is in pretty good shape for its age, though some chips and cracks are present (along with a broken old ceramic towel bar). |
