| Comment: Dear Sir: <br /> <br />We have a home built in 1949 in the Old Lake Highlands area of Northeast Dallas. We purchased the home in 1993. We are planning some significant remodeling and upgrading of our home. We had our home inspected to help us establish our priorities of what needs to be done. We also went to the City's Building Inspection Department and got all of the building permits issues by the City since the house was built. Between 1985-1992 the previous owners built a "mother-in-law" area comprised of a bedroom, kitchen, bath, and living area. Unfortunately the elderly parent passed away before moving into the new addition. A large concrete driveway was also added. Permits are not available for much of the work that was done and apparently were never pulled. We would like to do what is necessary to be in full compliance with the City's residential building requirements. Can your firm assist us and are you able to give us an estimate of the cost for |
