Comment: Planning on a new roof on a cedar contemporary house. Metal. "cool roof" Reflects 36% of the light/heat back into the atmosphere thus makes the roof 20-30% cooler should get a federal tax rebate and reduction in insurance prices. Very excieted to leed the way towards a better future. Enegy goes back into the atmosphere insted of absorbing it. The same way a glacier reflects light back.Kasselwood metal roof that will have a much more appealing finish than the cedar shake wich is hard to keep up with if you want it to look new all the time! Wood roof's are not recommended in this climate more so with all the rain.I cannot wait to go tho some meetings and help our community lead the pathway to a "Green environment"!
