| Comment: Presntly have cottage in West Seatt on ALki, naroow lot 45feet wide, 113ft long.have architech doing drawings, but due to cost of remedy to liquifation area new buildin city codes require pileing method to bedrock, the cost presented is outrageous, not certain about the architect knowledge base and experience is limited. Wanting to build 3100 sq ft 2 levels, 4 bed up stairs with attached garage through adjoining 3/4 bath/laundry mud room below with office bed room above mudroom. I and my partner would be interrested in comming for a vist sometime this next month if its appropriate. I have talked with a few contractors who have bulit homes by chance, THe main question I have for you is what is the cost per sq ft in building a home of this size? If you can come up with a number average that would be great.SInce the economy is as it is, I have been told high end build is 120.00-130.00 sq feet. Does this sound accurate? | Comment: From right to to Left as I look at the House.1st Floor,about 12'W x 24", Dinning Front and Kitchen in back open counter bar to living room, door door to back of house and entrance to this area front end. Living room 20'x24'. Then 40" hallway back side to 2 bedrooms roughtly about 24'x24 with at least 5"x8" bathroom each in back then, the the rest bedrooms with closet in betweet bedrooms and bathrooms. Both entrance with 2 doors for each bedroom and entranc to bathroom between those 2 door for Guest used privacy if need.6" studs wall between 2 bedroom and living room and also between between bedrooms plus the best sound insulation wall. 2nd Floor, floor same as first floor with 1'min. wider all around firm sitting on 1st floor. This is corner lot. 3 car parking stall with Left stall drive through L shape front left side to back fence property and exit if city approved. Thank you. |
