| Comment: we have discovered mold twice 3 years apart on our lower level carpet of a split level home. The first time, we removed the carpet, cleaned with bleach water and then replaced the carpet. We believed that the source of moisture was a spill that went unnoticed which wicked under a wooden file cabinet. The mold was black in color and grew where the wood made contact with the carpet. It has happened a second time, so we now know we have a moisture issue which we need to resolve. My main concern is the type of mold and the extent of contamination in my home. |
