Comment: Hi there, We're in the middle of having the hardwood floors replaced in our garden unit condo. We had the old floors torn up last week, Wednesday, and found that there was a great deal of moisture in the subflooring in certain areas of the condo. Have been running industrial strenght dehumidifiers non-stop since Friday to help dry out the subflooring. While there isn't any mold I can see in the subflooring and the floor guys say that there probably isn't mold present (apparently there's a distinct smell for mold, but there's always been a weird smell in the back half of the condo that I'm not sure what it is) I thought it might be a good idea to get a professional opinion on a) whether or not mold is present and b) if treatment is needed before the new flooring goes down. The flooring team is currently on standby so we need to move quickly on this if we can. Please call me immediately if you can help. I know it's almost 10p CST right now, but I'll be up for a bit so don't worry

Comment: We're in the middle of having our hardwood floors replaced after water infiltration from a heavy rain last fall (we live in a garden unit of a condo building). When the flooring was torn up, the subflooring was saturated in some areas. We've been running industrial dehumidifiers to dry out the subflooring to see if we can skip replacing it in some parts, but want to make sure we don't have mold issues before the new flooring is laid down.
