| Comment: The home builders never installed flashing for the furnace exhaust. Consequently, water ran down the outside of the pipe between the walls and caused swelling of the floor such that the door to the downstairs coat closet became difficult to move. The carpet inside that closet has black stuff growing on it. I want that stuff tested. If it is something evil, I want to determine the extent of the infection and discuss removal methods and cost. |

| Comment: I have a bedroom that had extensive ice damming on the roof above. I had the area professionally tested for moisture but found none. A week later after the ice damming was removed the room had a strange order. Because I have a cat, I emptied the room, shampoo'd the carpet, but the odor still exist. Not sure what to thinking it might be other than slow developing mold in the floor or wall somewhere. |
