Comment: A large condo association has (2) sets of exterior stairs that are concrete fill on metal pan. The stairs are exposed and consist of 3 straight runs of stairs with 2 landings. The past winter caused heave of the concrete due to rust developing below the concrete. The treads will need to be cut out and rebuilt. The initial concept is to install open grate, galvinized or painted treads. There are no risers. The steel strucutre of the stiars can remian but needs to have the finish stripped, brushed to clean steel, and refinished.
