| Comment: I have a raised flower bed that runs nearly the length of my back yard. Originally I had it planted as an English flower garden and it was beautiful. That was about 13 years ago. I've tried to replace labor intensive plantings with flowering shrubs and kept the roses and dahlias but I now live alone so there's no one to enjoy it and I'm sick of all the work. It's just a hodge-podge mess. I could take it all out myself but it would take me forever and I don't have a plan so it would just be another mess. I would like some grass, some perennials and a small seating area for just one person. I don't entertain. Don't need a fire pit, a barbecue area etc. I just want a nice relaxing place that doesn't require a ton of maintenance. I have someone who mows my front yard but I do the back.I don't think this would be a huge project;mainly taking stuff out, putting in sod and a plan. |
