| Comment: 1.) R-60 Insulation level to be achieved uniformly throughout attic by adding to existing insulation (Est. total sq. ft. allowance = approximately 1,000). (R-factor of cellulose insulation is approx. 3.8 per inch.) <br /> <br />2.) Insulation material to be top premium cellulose (e.g. NU-WOOL Premium, GreenFiber, Cel-Pak Class 1) w/ max. fire retardant treated w/ sodium borate or similar. Contain no formaldehyde, asbestos, glass fibers. Specify specific brand / type to be used. <br /> <br />3.) Total height of all blown in insulation levels in attic applied evenly NTE ~22 inches from attic floor. Current levels ave. approx. 9 to 10 inches at est. R-20. <br /> <br />4.) Installing new baffles (rafter vents / vent chutes) prefer – AccuVents by Berger - in @ rafter bay (est. 40). Staple the baffles in place to insure proper ventilation along soffits to outside. Staples ~ 1 every 4 inches <br />Est. 6 each baffle / allow space at least 1 inc |
