| Comment: This may sound a little strange, but we are actually building a film set that is part of an underground copper mine. We have been doing some research and it seems that spray insulation would be the cheapest and easiest way to go about building this thing. I would say that it is probably a 15-20 square foot room with 7 foot high walls, and no ceiling. We just need the walls to look like rock (Similar to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKl6m1iN_zg and this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEZmFG28WgI), but similar in texture with this, throughout. We would handle painting it afterwards, we would just need someone to spray it and make it look like a cave; which I understand could be very difficult. I am asking many different places around the Bozeman area to compare prices and techniques, so any information would be very helpful) |

| Comment: The attic to be insulated is above a 24' x 50' living space. The only entrance to the attic is a little trap door in the ceiling. Northwestern Energy Audit recommended putting lots more insulation in the attic. Presently it has about 4-6"' of fiberglass roll insulation. The roof pitch is extremely low, so one cannot walk or even crawl around in the attic. I am thinking I need some sort of blow-in insulation, but am concerned about 1)How do you get it in, and 2) how do you control the evenness of the application, given the low pitched roof and limited access? I am looking for a solution. Can anyone help??? |
