| Comment: Right now, our main concern is getting the existing window bars OFF, b/c we just got a new home insurance policy, and our new insurer is requiring us to take off all bars from the windows. These are the "old" version that has no release latch, so it's a safety hazard if there's ever a fire. We tried taking it off ourselves, with no luck. We are considering either getting the bars replaced with the latch-kind, or replacing our jalousy-windows with more secure windows. Either way, that will be further down the road...right now, our insurer says our bars have to be off by THIS FRIDAY!! |
