| Comment: Central air unit dead and was too small for house anyway. 1,734 sq.ft. 1994 double-wide on full basement. New 1/07 gas, forced air furnace sits next to water heater. current a/c unit sits outside half-way up basement. Although in a country setting, airflow inhibited by height above ground, road in front is basement height and bank to right of house is higher than the doorways. Due to these issues, a ground or geothermal heatpump application may be the best, but I have very limited info on heatpumps to know for sure. I am trying to decide whether to keep the home or sell. An 8/5/10 decision is difficult when there is no a/c and I am unable to live in it now. |
