| Comment: The rubber gaskets on two of the pipe vents on my roof have deteriorated. I purchased two Permaboots to place over the vent pipe and boot and that should have fixed it, but the boot needs about twelve inches of pipe extending above the roof and I have only about 6-8 inches and need to have the pipe extended using a sleeve and then put the permaboot on to keep water out. It won't take a huge amount of time to do the repair. The handyman will need a tall freestanding ladder to access the roof (mine was too short) and once the sleeve is constructed and glued onto the vent pipe, the boots take can be put on in literally minutes. |
