| Comment: We have an existing garage that we want to open up into the livable space in our house, which we will do ourselves. We would like to add a 2-1/2 car garage onto the house attaching it to the existing garage (new garage would require 3 sides as the 4th wall would be the exterior of our house). Rules in our neighborhood require the exterior of the garage to be brick. We are interested in moving the existing garage door/opener to the new garage, and adding 2 windows to the new garage. We are also interested in making the new roof on the new garage high enough to be able to open our existing bonus room above our current garage into the roof area above the new garage. This particular space does not have to be finished space at the time of the build. We can eventually finish the space at a later time. We are looking into refinancing our home in approx.
