Comment: We have an outbuilding the size of a one car garage that is on sauna tubes at ground level.There is gravel with no structural floor. The structure is next to a drainage ditch that over flows occasionally and runs through the building. We are exploring the possibilty of taking the structure down, rebuilding on piers above ground level perhaps 12 to 18 inches and adding 1/2 story loft area. We would use this as a workshop. There is power in the existing building. We have someone who can do the carpentry. we need to know if this idea is plausible and what it would cost to install the piers.
